For October, Scott and I wanted to book a show that was EVEN BRIGHTER! But for retinal preservation, we decided to pivot towards the more introspective and atmospheric works of Denise Burge. In artwork, the devil is in the details, and details abound in the photo collage tapestries of Denise Burge. From the sculptural hanging apparatus to the layered imagery, to the surfaces of the fabric, hand stitched and unique, there is much to explore. The work is a love letter to our city, in what I think of as snatches of memory.

We are proud to report that one of her tapestries has been curated into the Ogden’s Museum of Southern Art! Thank you to curator Bradly Sumrall and patron Brian Sands for making that happen!
